FAQs
How do I know this course will work for my child?
Every student is different, but this course is built upon everything we’ve used over the past 10 years, working with thousands of students at all levels. Whether your child is starting with a 16 or trying to progress from a 28 to a 34, we’ve applied the exact strategies we use in one-on-one tutoring to this course. If they show up and do the work, the results come. We've seen it again and again.
Why should I pay for this when there are free resources online?
There are free resources available, but most are generic, outdated, or lacking a clear strategy. This course provides your child with a comprehensive, step-by-step system designed explicitly for the latest ACT. They won't waste time figuring out what to do next or wondering if they're studying the right way. This is expert-level instruction, organized for real results, not guesswork. That's the difference.
This seems expensive compared to just buying a prep book.
You could buy a book for $30, but most students never even open it up. They're overwhelming, out of order, and don't provide any real guidance. With this course, your child gets expert instruction, targeted strategies, practice tailored to the new test format, and the flexibility to work on their own schedule. ScoreJump costs less than half of what you’d spend on a private tutor–and it actually works.
We're swamped. I don’t think we'll have time to finish it.
That's why we built it to be self-paced. The videos are short, precise, and targeted. You don't need to spend hours a day. Even just 15 to 20 minutes a day over a few weeks adds up to real prep time. And it's accessible 24/7, after school, on weekends, whenever works for your schedule.
We're already working with a tutor. Would this still be helpful?
Absolutely. We actually recommend combining this with tutoring. This course serves as your foundation, strategy, and content library. It keeps your child progressing between sessions and gives the tutor more time to focus on specific trouble areas, rather than re-teaching basics. It also gives them a chance to revisit anything they may have forgotten later, especially in the days leading up to the test.
How long will it take to complete this course?
The course is designed to be completed in 4 to 6 weeks, which aligns with the optimal prep timeline before test day. However, we didn't create this as a one-and-done resource. Students can revisit specific modules as needed, especially when reviewing strategies before their actual test date.
My child has already taken the ACT. Will this course still help?
Yes. In fact, many of our most successful students are those who've taken the test before without seeing the improvement they wanted. Having test experience actually helps because they understand where they struggled. This course gives them the strategic tools to address those specific challenges.
What if my child is running out of time before their next test?
The course is designed to deliver high-impact strategies efficiently. Even students with limited prep time can benefit from focusing on the sections and question types where they have the most room for improvement. We prioritize teaching what actually moves scores rather than covering everything superficially.
